Using a bayonet as intended has not been implemented yet.

At some point, you'll be able to!

But currently? Nope!

It's not currently possible to use it while it's on a weapon.

 

You can, however, take it off the gun and stab someone with it that way.  Rocket did this on stream and basically turned into this guy.

I've also heard you can open cans of food with bayonets. Haven't tested it though.

can confirm that, ive have it on my gun and in my hands atm.... on the gun for the looks, and yea ofc to stab zombies...
