anyone running 2 accounts?

yeah yeah hate if you must, i run 2 accounts :)

 

account 1) gear i want to keep mess with and act as my tent in the middle of nowhere.

account 2) my farmer who dies allot has strange encounters and collects cool rare items for account 1.

 

Advantages

- i CAN get attached to my gear up until the point i do something silly or server wipe.

- More money for Bohemia.

 

Disadvantages

- poor people will hate

- people will cry exploit.

- drop trading dose not always work.

I didn't cry exploit - I explicitly told you what you are doing.

If you're being a dick you can't just say 'Oh, I knew people were going to say I was being a dick!' as if that somehow invalidates what they are saying.

You are using an account to feed another one, you are abusing mechanics set in place, it's not debatable - it's a fact.

In some games, multiple accounts are purposefully allowed (They explicitly allow you to create multiple characters on the same account and trade between them). i.e. World of Warcraft

On some other games it's explicitly against the rules as cheating, i.e. Runescape.

You knew what sort of reaction you were going to get, that's what the childish opening statement says.

If you are using one account to feed another account gear it completely goes against the spirit of the game and you're using it to circumvent the 'One character per server' mechanic which gives characters value in the first place.

i simply do not understand, if tents or bases where in it be feeding my base camp.. with no risk of loosing well yeah server wipes doing stupid things. so it is the same is it not?

 

i do not wish to argue it is my game style at the moment and thats me, there is nowhere that says this is against any sort of rule it pays for the game development i enjoy playing.

Tents give the realistic risk of losing your stuff to any random wanderer that passes by, so you have to use your brain and try hiding it from plain sight. That's what this game is supposed to simulate. Realistic survival. Having another account just to store pixels in a Survival game sounds just plain stupid. Especially since there's only a couple of guns and a small choice of melee weapons right now. Not to talk about Antibiotics/food/drinks that you can fill your backpack with within the first 30 minutes of gameplay. And i can't see how it turns out to be fun by hoarding stuff and sitting on it like a chicken on it's eggs.

 

Also, i can't see why anyone would "hate" or "be jelly" of you having 2 accounts. Just proves that you have less of a life than others have, who can accept the fact that sometimes you lose your shit.

for me why? well on my second account i am currently way up north with the long range scope trying to learn the velocity bulit drop etc.. (shooting at trees in  the distance recording the shots playing back slowmo)

 the scope is rare and i did loose one once so i thought hmm nah when i need more bullets i dont loose the scope :)

 

i an sorry if this it really making people upset.. honestly.. itis my game style at the moment, my guess is people just want to rant because they have nohthing better to do and are not doing the same. i am not hurting anyone i am not cheating well thats is arguable in some poples eyes.. :S  like i said people are poor cry exploit and clearly want people to play the game how they want people to :S

While the play style doesn't work for me I have no problem with someone doing that, I don't see why it's abusing mechanics, there will be tents implemented at some point which serve the same purpose and it gives him more fun knowing the loot he finds he has an actual chance of keeping. Let's be real here, mosty games with loot enjoy a long playtime when players can collect loot, it gives certain people something to do and something to build and thinkk of how cool their collection is. This is one of the reasons some people liked WarZ.

 

Again, I don't like the playstyle but I don't care if he does it as it will be a feature anyway at one point.
