how do i mark a place on the map?

i remember that in the arma 2 mod you could mark a place on the map, and it will show you on the actual game where it is and how much left to get to this place. is it implomented into the game yet?

Waypoints have been removed, you'll have to learn to navigate around the map by landmarks and roadways instead.

All you can currently do is double-click somewhere on the map and a cross will appear, you can write something, mark it as a point of interest or whatever. You don't get any directions to it however.

You can't do it in SA. Hopefully. 

 

I hope they add a feature that you can add marks of your own, on your map, that stay persistent to that map. Like writing on paper now. But like MS Paint!

Definitely not in the SA. You need to navigate yourself now, which seems reasonable.
