Hype train

Really hope that they make these functional. Use them for transporting large amounts of goods. Downside being the limited movement options, branchlines, etc.

FUNFACT: You can fit 40 people (or 73 Russian Soldiers with their equipment) into one of thous boxcars.  Much as I would love to have working trains as well it doesn't make much sense for a bunch of survivors to not only know how to turn on this particular model on for starters, not to mention finding the difference between the throttle, engine brake, train brake, and reverser.

You can start pumping fuel now. Then you might be able to move it a few kilometers by the end of 2014. Trains use a crazy amount of fuel!

I always thought working trains would be a good idea. Not for survivors to use but as the last working remenants of civilization. It would be nice to hop onto a train in order to get to somewhere without having to run. Or move a larger group in a boxcar as a prelude for an attack. Wouldn't be that hard to lay in other lines to go north. I for one hate the trek through the forest.

I hope you mean for the map makers and not players, because that's laughable.  They have extended the mainline from Berezino, added in at least 3 large stations along what used to be the northern border of the map (lot of towns seam to be missing up there aside form the roads) and the right of way now ends somewhere west of NWAF.  Was a very lovely run actually.
