Hi,

i got 3 chat channels atm: direct/ voice/ group.

But on all 3 channels i got no reaction and i never see any one chat.

How am i to communicate with other players in this game ?

Global chat is/being removed - your only means of communication are direct "text" which extends to ... 40 meters? I think. And Direct Voice which extends to 80? (That means using a microphone by the way)

Aside from that certain servers offer Teamspeak or Ventrilo servers for their members - those are allowed.

So direct voice works by switching you channel over to "Direct" (white letters) with the [.] key and then using your mic, via capslock? That will send your voice to only nearby players?

sethliopod:

Yes, it will. I believe you can set up VOIP which is locked to direct in the control options, but I use your method because I'm a lazy bum. The same goes for vehicles. If you switch to the vehicle channel while in a car with your friends, everyone in the car will hear you talk. Regardless of what channel you're in, there should be a local sound that anybody near you can hear.

No - all of the three remaining chat channels will send your voice (and text) to direct. With the exception that vehicle will limit your text to anyone in the vehicle - and using voice while in a vehicle will muffle it slightly for those standing outside.
