Also, apparently you have not understood what an alpha is. This is not meant to be fun. Your job is to report bugs to the bugtracker. Not to have fun. That's how an alpha works.

 

You also seem a little bit confused as to the point of a full, open Alpha release. We are not QA testers. We are players. Yes, the goal of an Alpha release is to identify issues and provide feedback for development, but if people aren't having fun while doing so then the entire system will fail. It is a give-and-take. Players play the Alpha in order to help identify issues in exchange for entertainment. If I wanted to simply test software, I would go get a job doing it and get paid for it. I sure as hell wouldn't pay someone $30 and then work for free.

Seriously? Calling people out on their forum avatar? Your attitude is pretty much shit, dude. You're not doing the community any favors by presuming that you speak for us, so please stop acting like you're the official spokesperson for DayZ Alpha, okay?

 

I for one welcome all sorts of players and play styles to DayZ, because I understand that a variety of play styles and opinions is exactly what makes a sandbox, open-world game interesting. If you want to play a game where everyone has exactly the same opinion as you and plays the game in exactly the same way, then maybe you're the one who should be looking for another game to play, eh? If you want to talk about things that are "highly unwanted" I highly unwant blow-hards like you acting like you're way of playing is The One True Way and demeaning new players with your asinine attitude.

Yes, there is absolutely a point in reporting known bugs. More reports provides more information for the developers in determining how widespread an issue is, in what situations it arises, and what different steps can be taken to reproduce the issue.

It's called Alpha, it comes before beta so it's a half complete game. Perhaps they should make a bigger warning in steam under the purchase tab so people realize that this is not the full game.

NOWHERE when i puschased the pre-alpha early access did i see ANYTHING about APPLYING for a job as a tester, AND neither would i PAY to be a tester.

there was NO job application and neither did i have to send in a resume.  there is NO JOB here.  you pay to have access to the early access pre alpha and from there

it up to you what you want to do. you are NOT entitled to have to send in bug reports or anything of the sort a TESTER would have to do. if all you want to do is log in

and go shoot people up and have fun that if your perogative, and to hell with anyone that says otherwise.   IF you you WANT to take it seriously and do nothing but

test for bugs that is also your perogative but you are in no way ENTITLED to HAVE To do it so do NOT imply otherwise and ruin other peoples fun.. that just rude.

Wait entitled to have to do it? Slow down on the rage there and think out your sentences. Obviously you are not being payed and you have no obligation to report bugs. But you PAYED for the PRIVILEGE to PLAY in the ALPHA (so thats what the shift key does). You honestly need to calm down. Also I think you need to look up the word entitled...

Well I have been running around for 3 hrs and have found a back pack and little food most of it rotten .

Have not seen a weapon or a automobile and like 3 zombies thank god as I can't find a weapon O I did find shot gun shells.

But ya I know this is a alpha but man where's the fun the mods better than this :(

If you would have informed yourself JUST A LITTLE BIT you wouldnt have to create this account.

Instead you just buy something you dont even know what the hell it is your spending your money , start crying , create a forum account and get on everyones nerves...
