Carrying two rifles ?

I just looted someone who had a Mosin and a M4 on him.

 

How did he do it ?

You can keep the other one in your back and take the other one in your hands. If you want to take anything in your hands you need to drop the one in your hands on the ground. Or is there enough room in a big backpack for a gun?

Did he 'knock down' the M4 and carry it in his pack or were they both carried openly?

It wasn't in his backpack, it had its on section like the M4 - so yeah carrying it openly.

cant put a gun in your backpack asfar as i know, cause its tomuch slots.

but dunno if its possible to swap your melee slot for a rifle one

Its not, you can only carry axe(or similar) and one weapon in your back.
Maximum that you can do is axe, weapon in your back and one in your hand, but you have to drop the one in your hand when you want to use something else.. even to eat something.

No. I think it's a glitch. Only had it happen once. I had a mossin equipped, a backpack, and below the backpack at the bottom of the list, my m4. M4 was on my back with mossin in hands. When i went to switch the mossin with the m4, the m4 vanished but I still had my mossin.

Being a one-man army should be next to impossible. I hope they don't make it a viable playstyle.

You can carry two weapons on the outside of the mountain backpack. This could be a 2 guns or a gun and a melee weapon etc...

Yeah.. Example you can put mosin and axe to your back then take m4 to your hands but it's really big mess, everytime you want to eat, drink or climb stair you have to drop the m4.. Well you can't even sprint fast if you carry m4 on your hands.

Yeah, he has taken it into his hands from the ground/from a dead body. But he pretty much has to drop it after he shoots it empty, unless he has more rounds for it. Which I doubt if he's already carrying an M4.
