Military loot suggestion

IMO it is currently FAR to easy to equip a char with military equipment. Just run to an airfield and loot, rinse and repeat. I don't know what plans the devs have regarding loot distribution but I'd like to see military-grade weapons to be ONLY available from (random) crashed heli sites. There could still be lots of high-value equipment at military locations, just not weapons and/or ammo.

 

Make people appreciate that old hunting rifle or revolver they found and stop everyone and their grandmother run around with pimped-out assault rifles.

While I like this in a way, it doesn't make a lot of sense...

 

Why on earth would there not be guns at a military base in Russia...?

You could argue that the military has taken all weapons with them when they moved out to combat the infected. These soldiers are now all dead, their weapons lost, or have relocated to other bases. The only military grade weapons are now in the hands of the surviving military who will only patrol the area in helicopters. Or something like that.

When i went to military basw near Putoshka and then after i went to the airfield, i could only find 1 or 2 M4's with damaged partes and almost no ammo. I think thats pretty cool becouse it isnt that easy to have military weapons and even easier to fiend ammo/magazines. Or people do serverhop and get things easy ( wich is really the problem )

give it time... military bases will become death zones. Right now, because after they are looted nothing respawns, people dont hang around. If its made so it does, expect to have to fight your way in and out. Not even considering the Z's, which no doubt will also be more of a problem at them once they are fully implemented.

Just make the military loot rare on the coast and better the further you head inland.

 

On light of this, enable the deer stand loot pretty please and add a random small building like a hunting shed/tent with better then average loot that spawns randomly in forested area across the map.

What I can say is that balota offers way to much military loot. I simply make a run to the 2 story barracks after that hit up the military tents and im geared in 10 mins.
