DayZ price. Will it go up?

I was about to buy DayZ when I thought about my paychecks and my wallet. I want this game, and I think it is an improvement on the original mod, but I want to know if the price will go up after the Alpha, like other games sometimes do. I would so want this game at a lower price, but I don't want to see it at $60 in 2-3 months, then have to wait a year for it to go on a Steam sale for below $30. I would like to know the projected price in a couple months, and when/if it would go on sale.

But if something, it might cost more on the release ....

Yes, but as I recall Dean stated that the price would stay the same for a while. So no worries. As long as the Alpha lives, I think we are going to see the same price, but when the Beta gets here - I guess the price will be higher and even higher when the game is released.

At its selling rate so far, it might increase with all the people currently buying it.
Would make sense marketing-wise.
Your best chance would probably buy as soon as possible. I doubt this thing will hit the Holiday Sale, MAYBE a spring sale. Dunno.

You could just buy it now at the already discounted price and not even play it until further into the games development? this way you get the game relatively cheap and dont have to worry about the future prices.

It will increase when it reaches further stages in development (Beta, Retail Release, etc.)

But I think, that it will cost about 50$, when it releases official after the beta.

 

I think, it's worth buying, too. Because in my opinion it's as good as the Mod in it's alpha by now.

It won't go up. You'll be able to get it on a steam sale for about $15 in a couple months. Don't buy now.

Dude, I am 19, in college, and yeah I want to find the best price. I only buy games on Steam when they are discounted. I have only paid for one game in full retail, and that was COD BO, which was an OK buy. But thanks everyone else for replying. I think I can wait until it goes on sale sometime.
