omgwtfbbq (DayZ) 1069 Posted December 18, 2013 As some of you may know, the standalone DayZ went up for sale on Steam today. As an alpha product. Why call the $30 game (that can now be called a game, not a mod anymore) an alpha, if the mod still hasn't left alpha, more than a year after its release? At least say the mod is in beta, even if we have the same amount of progression we are currently having now. Before anyone uses Minecraft as an example for a continuous alpha, Minecraft became a full release two years ago; they just constantly add to it.
Weedz 1105 Posted December 18, 2013 (edited) Minecraft was also an alpha for well over a year and a beta for even longer. Edited December 18, 2013 by Weedz
