Losing character

Twice now I have relogged back into dayz and my Character has been reset to respawn noob on the beach.

I lose all my gear ect.

Is each server different?

I thought your staus was saved sever side so you could log any vacant server and carry on. This seem to not be the case for me and not just once twice!

Is it me or is it just a bug?

Many including me are having this issue. Its a bug. When you logg out with connection issues.
