Can I Run DayZ Retail (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

Truth be told, I'm a universty student and sporting a pretty tight budget. The system I bought was quite exactly 600€ and can't go up much more. I would most likely have to change the mobo too, because I ordered an ASRock H87 Pro4 (no overclocking if Non-Z OC doesn't work anymore).

What if I wait a few years and update the processor? Or will the socket be obsolete by then?

seems to be a few users having trouble with the AMD processors...but the HP of your rig should be fine for HIGH - 50+ fps

might need to do a bit more research and optimization to squeeze every FPS out of the AMD cpu

Thanks for the response.

As far as the research to squeeze out some fps, could you point me towards the right direction as to where I might find such info?

I be a complete pc noob

DDDez, your fine to wait on the processor, its a great socket and will last a while. If you havent already bought it, get the K for the extra $20 or whatever it was...dont worry about overclock yet. or you can do some very basic overclocking without a water cooler. At least with the K you can blow that processor wide open with a water cooler at a later date ($50)

Haribo_Almighty

im not really sure where, but im sure search function should reveal a ton of AMD info.

search bar is top right of this screen. Search Optimization, fps increase (there is a sticky thread on FPS increase), AMD, etc

somewhere in this thread some Admin posted some link for AMD users..cant remember where

https://www.google.ca/search?q=dayz+SA+AMD+fix&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&gws_rd=cr&ei=CinUUufAK4z8qAGJs4CwCQ

DONT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING unless you are positive its safe, im already reading about theoretical and potential "key stealers" for SA in the form of FPS fixers...

Hey, looking to buy a desktop that will run SA and the day z mod on reasonably high settings. How is this:

Intel core i3-4130 processor (3.4ghz, 3 mb cache)

Storage: 1TB HDD 7209rpm

RAM: 8GB DDR

GRaphics: AMD Radeon R7 260X

Graphics card memory: 2 GB GDDR5

Would this get me decent performance? Out of interest how much would a machine in the Uk cost that will run at top settings?

Nath

the last 3 will not play very well..sorry guys

i3 less than desireable.

Intel Graphics HD 4000 not great for gaming especially SA

Procesor(CPU) Intel Core i3 3227 1.9 GHz Ivy Bridge

not nearly the horsepower needed to play SA

$500 laptops with onboard intel graphics and low end i3 processors with that low ghz will not run SA

I dont honestly think those rigs will play it.

I believe building a computer, not a laptop for $500 will do the trick.

or buying a barebones kit (google barebones computer kit) should be fine.

as for what to buy, look at frankieon1080pc youtube computer specs for a higer end ish system and look at psisyndicate for a perfect budget system.

aim for 4.0+ ghz

and gtx 570 minimum

Aight, I swapped the 4570 + H87 for a 4670K + Z87 combo. Was about 30€ more expensive, but hell, who cares. Going stock for a while, and overclocking a bit later.

Here I come, DayZ!

pretty standard.

no one really sustains above 30fps in cities at the moment...that sure is a crazy computer though!

it could also be the 6 core, try turning HT off or whatever the equivalent is on that board

about the same setup as me.

i7 930 though @ 4.25 and 1 570...

i would have thought you could squeeze a few more fps than me with those in SLI...but maybe SA isnt using SLI yet?

you should be able to overclock that to 4.5 very easily. provided you have water cooler.

SLI FIX:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=205916418

and optimize your launch params/config file and you should surpass 60 fps

Hello,

First post ever to this forum, and my question is that before I make the purchase, can somebody tell me how well can my machine run this game?

Processor: AMD Phenom X4 955, 3,2Ghz

RAM: 6GB (1333Mhz DDR)

Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6770 (1GB RAM)

Can I run the game on low, medium, or high? Probably not the last one, but what kind of FPS's are to be expected? I find that anything below 30-35 is unacceptable.

reasonable enough i think ^

15-20 fps cities, 30-40 outside

maybe...

your vid card is a bottleneck

also SA doesnt like AMD...search for dayz SA AMD fix and also how to optimize

just so you understand, guys with the most top end systems are getting 30 fps in cities and 60 fps outside...

im an i7 930 (old i7) with 4.25 ghz and a gtx 570 and I only get 55 fps outside and 30 inside cities...

If anyone is in the same situation as me, IE waiting for your GPU, ill be happy to tell you that a i7 4770k @4,6 with HD4600 will run dayz at around 20-25 FPS at Devils :D
