fakeblood 2 Posted December 30, 2013 The 2gb is dedicated but the 650m is a poor GPU. Use fraps to see fps, turn all settings to low and slowly increase and tinker you be surprised what you could get out of it.
applejaxc 2500 Posted December 30, 2013 Why is everyone badmouthing the 650? It's enough to play the game, just not at ultrasuperduper settings.

rougedemon 0 Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) At this moment in time I have a Samsung RC512 laptop. I'm getting a new desktop soon to replace my old one so I was just wondering if it would be worth it to buy the game now and play on my laptop until I get my desktop or just wait to buy it until i get my desktop. I've heard a lot about the poor optimization for it, low fps and massive lag spikes so I'm a bit worried about buying it now. Anyways here's my computer specs, I was hoping some of you might have an educated opinion on how well my computer can run it and about how many FPS I would get. Thanks. Yes Someone one the first page had the same gfx card and was told he'd probably get a bad framerate. Would I be able to play the game with this setup? I don't need the best graphics per sé, as long as I could play without lag I'd be happy. Much thanks

OMFGSolaX 0 Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) For those of you wondering, if DayZ runs on weaker Laptop's / Desktop's i have tested it on my pretty Ultrabook: Desktop or laptop? LaptopMonitor resolution: 1366x768 (native)CPU: Intel Core i3-3217u (1,8Ghz)Graphics card: Intel HD4000RAM: 4GBSSD? Both tested If you turn down the resolution to 1280x720 and use a few fps tweaks, you can play this game with 40-60fps countryside and a decent 15-20fps in big cities. You could go even lower than that to improve it more. Sure it won't look that nice (edit: it looks terrible, compared to streams and videos), but it's definetely playable on "Low-End" Devices with integrated GPU. If you use a Laptop though, be sure the cooling is good and/or set/cap the frequency to a defined amount. Otherwise you will have "stuttering", but actually that's just the CPU under/overclocking all the time due to the heat. zgadze@gmail.com 0 Posted December 30, 2013 AMD X2 2604GB RAMSAPPHIRE HD5670 with 512 MB -> playable on low/med settings. Wasn't really playing with settings too much, but game is more than playable at this moment. So if anyone with similar system asks himself if he/she should get the game - go for it. Use fraps to see fps, turn all settings to low and slowly increase and tinker you be surprised what you could get out of it. Yeah, I have a 650m in my Dell Inspiron 17r and I run most games at 1080p on high/very high settings with 30+ fps... Dayz standalone just isn't optimized, but I hope that'll change over the development period. Playing on graphic options disabled or low/very low shouldn't run at 14-26 FPS. dakisback 39 Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) Okay cool ! Thanks a lot .. My CPU is : Intel® Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40GHz I know my graphic card isn't for games, I dont really play games but I'm programming (computer sciences studies) but i really want to play this game It will run pretty well. probably medium settings at 30+ fps. and it will get better when they optimize the client. Andarne (DayZ) 84 Posted December 30, 2013 I'm currently running a two-month-old Radeon HD7850 2GB with a generic Intel 2.4GHz Quad Core CPU. It runs the game fairly well on medium/high, but I lag like mad in cities. Large towns just drop my FPS slightly. I'm upgrading to a new rig, however; new system board, and a hex-core CPU (AMD FX-6300). So hopefully that'll give a nice little boost!
OrLoK 16186 Posted December 30, 2013 Hi everyone, I'd really like to buy DayZ but I don't have any knowledge in graphic cards... so I was wondering if my Geforce GT650M 2GB is enough to play without ugly graphics ?I'm ok with all the other system requirements (i've an i7, 8GB RAM). I really hope it could be ok with my graphic card too... Dreamloopmerging
