Sensitivity and Other Mouse issues

Recommended Posts

Hello. I got the game yesterday and I've just got a chance to try it for the first time. I have two questions. First of all, I can't to turn off the mouse acceleration. Smoothing is completely off but when I click the acceleration button, nothing happens. I know it's an alpha and i don't mean to act like "I paid 30$ for this, how dare you", I'm just trying to figure out if there's a workarround for it till BI fixes the issue.

This isn't my main problem though. My main problem is that there are two seperate sensitivity options for mouse (X and Y) and I have to ask, why? I mean on consoles with the stupid stick, yes, it makes sense but on PC, honestly I don't get it. It doesn't work for me for some reason. My vertical mouse speed is always way higher than the horizontal speed. I tried fixing it thru options but after 15 minutes I get frustuated and left the game (maybe a little too quick). I'd like to get back to it once I sort out the issues with the mouse.

There's a veteran DayZ friend (who literally reads every news about it). I'm gonna ask him when he goes online but on the other hand, I'd like to figure the game out on my own for a bit. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

As soon as I read the "DO NOT BUY THIS GAME" part in the disclaimer on Steam.  I knew I'd better NOT buy this game yet :p

This is a duplicate report and the developers are already aware of this bug/problem.

Please check the feedback tracker to see if an issue exists before creating a new one and instead vote the original one up so the developers can see it's a common problem.

A list of important bug/issues that the developers are already aware of can also be found on the DayZ Forums:

Any additional images of the problem in question is always appreciated (if possible) and can be added by using the 'Upload File' section within a bug report.

Cheers

Sorry for the c+p, info is there.

Devs are aware and it's already a hot issue on the bug tracker.

Some people like acceleration on a certain axis but not another, the options allow these players to tweak to their liking (although it's a bit broken for some).

I've checked the feedback tracker for mouse sensitivity issues but all I find was talks about the acceleration. There's no mention of the wierd sensitivity difference. Is there a way to fix this with the config or a command line for startup maybe? It's quite unplayable as it is.

Also something else caught my attention. When I walk (or rather when my character moves) my mouse speed goes up like 2 or 3 times. When I stop, it goes back to the slow state (although the X and Y difference is still there on both cases).

I'm using Win 7 x64 with a G15 keyboard and a G700s mouse. Latest drivers/updates installed obviously. Vsync is off. I can provide more info if needed.

Hi guys,

My CPU: i5 2,8 ghz

GPU: AMD Radeon 5750 HD

RAM: 4 GB

Windows 8.1

the aiming feels very spongily - its not really instant or directly. i had the same problem with planetside 2 but battlefield 4 works perfect on high - ps2 is known for bad performence but now i have the same delay feeling with the aiming in DayZ.

i wonder if its volitional or is my pc just to bad ?
