How to: Set up, use, and function your Flashlight!

Text guide:

 

1. Press "TAB" to access your inventory
2. Find your batter over on the right-hand side of the screen
3. Click and hold the battery, dragging it over on top of your flashlight, dropping it on the slot
4. You will be prompted with 2 messages, something like; "do you want to attach xvault battery to flashlight" and "replace existing battery". Select the first one (attach)
5. The battery is now attached and can be dragged in to the big empty box (your hands) below your character's 3D model in the center of your screen.
6. Then, drag the flashlight again (from your bags, not your hand slot) and place it in hotkey slot 1, located at the bottom left of your screen.
7. Press TAB again to exit the inventory.
8. Press Space to bring your hands/flashlight up, then using the MMM (middle mouse-button) scroll any way until you see an option to "turn on" your flashlight and click using the MMM.

(this guide may seem silly to some but DayZ:SA has brought a lot of new players in to the DayZ world and there are definitely some people that will benefit from this guide.

It's definitely easier than the mod was, that's for sure!
