Just because I'm a little over weight my opinion isn't valid? 

The high player counts were one of rockets' many 'selling points' (read - lies) that haven't materialised, even after two years of development. 

 

While I have to commend rocket for finally going ahead and pushing the button to release the game after months of false starts, half truths and 10,000 interviews with youtube 'celebrities', you've still got to wonder, why so few players on servers?

They aren't paying to be a beta tester, they are paying to be an alpha tester.

That was made VERY clear, if you somehow missed that information you've got larger problems to worry about than disliking DayZ.

Dean also said...many many times...that the Alpha goal was 50. I think 40 is a nice compromise for having Alpha in 2013 AND before Christmas.
