First Day

So first impressions.

To say it short,  things are good.   It is definitely playable.  Performance is decent.

Melee isn't too bad.  It'll take some adjusting and learning.

Player interaction is fantastic.   I robbed a guy of his shirt when I was bleeding.  I found an empty pistol, and tried to hold someone up.  Unfortunately he called my bluff and booked it

I traded with some guy !!!

I gave him my Mototcycle helmet for a backpack!! What a steal.

Things to work on is definitely client side performance.  Electro, Kamarovo and Balota were fine but the Cherno apartments caused poor FPS.

I really like the ability to hold an item in your hand.  Extremely useful

I'm enjoying it, found an M4/Gas Mask/backpack but then my character got deleted :(. I have pretty much the same gear right now so hopefully when I log back in I still have my stuff.

I don't however like the new compass, it seems too fiddily just to check where I am going.

Generally great improvement all around! Worried about the lack of zombies but that'll be worked on later. Just praying that they erase that incredibly shit feedback system of 'I'm tired'. However it's 100X better than the mod. Although sadly lost my character to a KOS man :-( killed him though haha

One thing that I think people underestimate, the SA released with no major hiccups (for me anyway, and seemingly most as I've not heard of any widespread problems). I haven't had one crash or anything of the sort. Smooth install, smooth gameplay.

I really am liking it. Managed to find some pretty awesome gear, though I'm still a bit bummed that the barracks are still the place to be (even though there's more of them).

Pustoshka and Myshkino are masterpieces. They look wonderful. Kind of bummed about the barracks near Dichina, but whatever.

I'm liking the inventory a lot as well.

My biggest gripe (besides the alpha-state zombies) is the loot. It's insanely hard to see the loot, especially when most of it is clipped through the floor and/or floating. That needs to be addressed ASAP. I find myself relying on the "Vicinity" function with a healthy dose of "running around like an idiot", rather than actually seeing something and taking it.

Some of the buildings don't seem configured properly for loot yet. The huge apartment buildings are one of them, I couldn't find a single item in the three blocs that I searched.

Really feels refreshing.

First person I met was in Cherno(I later found that out) I was in the new apartment buildings exploring trying to figure out where the hell

I was then went into a school I believe? Saw a Beam throughout the whole building. At first I thought it was some light bug or something, but then saw him.

Called out to him we explored the rest of the building, asked him if he knew if this was Cherno he told me no. Went to the roof and we were just viewing the distance, and suddenly he just fell off the roof. I cried out to him that I was coming down to get him, but he was dead.

Climbed the That red tower near the grocery on the hill and there I saw it, good ol' Cherno, saw some fresh spawns in the distance cause' of their flashlights.

Really amazing this game, and has so much potential. I did no research on this game nor followed it. I carry knowledge from the MOD and just learn this new game.

FYI, if you bleed don't panic rip your shirt off you can use the rags! Loved that they added that.

I have only had one crash.  Not sure why though.  Everything is rock solid besides a few latency issues involving the responsiveness of the UI.  Not  a big deal and is still faster than the mod.

In am going to leave a note instructing the recipient to PM me.  I hope someone does :0

Just fell unconscious. I have no idea why, and not sure if one can come back from it. Been staring at the screen for five minutes.

The whole "You feel thirsty", "Your head hurts", "You feel hungry" thing is completely useless. I spend all day eating and drinking like a fatass only five seconds later to get the "You feel like having a drink" message.

I sort of knew this might happen. I thought they might've gone overboard with the survival stuff (in terms of its annoying qualities). Hopefully it gets dialed down and/or fixed. I am constantly bombarded with paragraphs of unintelligible status updates that often repeat/contradict each other.

The can opener is a pretty useful item when it comes to eating, yet it's the smallest and hardest to see item in the game. What happened to smashing shit open with a rock? Or a knife?

Just made it up north of NWAF, some interesting stuff up there. But it's clear that it's a WIP. A lot of roads which lead to nowhere, cement surfaces in the middle of fields. The landscapes are beautiful, just feels like they've still got a lot to add.
