Not faster. But if you have to run for a mile and you don't want to press "W" all the time, you jamm a coin or a weight in the keyboard and watch you character run

I also use a coin, rather a stack of coins and a zippo lighter for weight. A small coin can be used to hold the "w" key down as an 'auto-run' feature =D I think this is whats referenced.

most people who have modern keyboards have it macrod so its the people who play normal who lose out. seeing as you run 90 percent long distances a auto run key should be done.
