Dragon_Slayer7 1 Posted November 27, 2013 I started getting bad version errors so I reinstalled my beta patch. It said your Arma 2 OA version (1.63) doesn't match the beta patch version (1.62). Or something along those lines. I need my version to be 1.62 and not 1.63. Can anyone help me out with this?
applejaxc 2500 Posted November 27, 2013 Uninstall the ArmA 2 OA Beta (or Arma 2 OA? I'm not sure if the beta can be uninstalled on its own) and reinstall, to reset yourself to OA 1.00, then download and install the latest beta patch. IF you want to try something less bandwidth intensive first, try to verify the integrity of your OA/Beta cache and then attempt to install the patch.

Im also not sure what you mean by reset yourself to OA 1.00. I just want to go back to version 1.62.Thank you for your help so far!

badluckburt 974 Posted November 27, 2013 One of the moderators here (I think either Boneboys or SmashT) pointed to this thread: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?168767-ARMA-2-OA-beta-build-112555-%281-63-build-release-not-backward-compatible%29 Read some comments there about downgrading, good luck! boneboys 7988 Posted November 27, 2013 Yes, if you have a Steam copy read the post in the link above and take note of...note: also not yet deployed on STEAM! (inside "test" branch, default beta is 103419)I can't help you more than that I'm afraid.

Completely uninstalling and then reinstalling WITHOUT any Beta patches SHOULD mean you're at "Vanilla" or "Out-of-the-box"/factory standards, IE product version 1.00, instead of version 1.62 or 1.63. Bowen 4 Posted April 23, 2014 Hey guys, I had this problem and I have found the perfect way to fix it. Open up your game folder (if in steam, its C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\common or where ever else you might have installed it.) Delete the Games EXE file and the Server EXE file. Then go to steam, right click on arma 2 OA and set it to only update when you want it to. Then click the local files tab at the top and then click "Verify integrity..." this will re-download just the two EXE files you deleted. This will take a minute or 2. Once that's done, you will essentially have version 1.00 installed. Now thats done, Go and choose your patch you wish to update to @ http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php Install the patch you want and away you go! some times DayZ commander will say game not found. If so just open arma 2 OA, close it, the click update game on DayZ Commander! Enjoy! :)

DoctorNick 0 Posted June 7, 2014 Can i just ask but where is the game.exe and the server.exeIts not actually called game.exe/server.exe they are "Arma2OA.exe" and "arma2oaserver.exe"
joshfrombkln 0 Posted July 7, 2014 This really worked for me, using Steam and Dayz Commander. In Steam right click Arma2 AO and go to Properties. Make sure you have on auto update disabled, and in properties go to the Betas tab. In Betas tab the drop down says "Select the beta you would like to opt out:" go ahead and select ~> "1.62 - Older version of the game"... it will download ... once its done go to DayzCommander, and in Install/Update select what version you like. In my case i was able to go to 11255 to 103718.

byrgesen 1341 Posted July 12, 2014 Can i just ask but where is the game.exe and the server.exe Next time, theres no reason to make giant letters, people here can actually read normal size letters. But its where you installed it mate.If you have them through steam its: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 2 Operation ArrowheadIf you have the dics version of Arma, which i doubt but who knows, its properly in programs, inside a Bohemia Interactive folder :)
