Broken Leg Animation

Recommended Posts

A suggestion a have is an animation for when your leg is broke, like you walk slow and almost falling when you walk, and jumping a bit

with the leg thats not broken. i think this would be better than crawling, but maybe not, i dont know its just my idea.

(This is my first started post so no hate please)

its a good idea and one that has been discussed a good number of times, if i recall correctly i believe in standalone you will no longer crawl due to broken leg but something more similar to your idea - i may be wrong though

You don't put weight on a broken leg...ever. But a good idea to give every wound a specific animation. Afaik there was one shot in the gut animation in one of the dev videos.

I believe you actually do this. I saw the animation in one of the DevBlogs, but im not sure if its for broken legs.

As long as it isn't hollywood style where you put a band-aid on the bullet hole or broken bone and carry on as if nothing happened it's ok. You should have to use something like a crutch and be really slow with the humping. They don't give you crutches, painkillers and order you to rest IRL for no reason...yes it's a game but if you add any kind of mechanic you should stay closer to reality.

It doesn't need to be that realistic. I would be all in for the healing process taking a couple of in-game hours though.

That's why i said closer to reality, if we had to heal wounds as long as IRL you would mostly end up dead on your first day as a survivor or be out of action for the next 4-8 weeks. I agree with it taking a couple of hours let's say around a game day so players take care of their avatars and not just charge head on into every situation.
