Server saying "wrong server"

Hey, im new to pc and am having i an issue saying server wrong version. I got arma 2, dayz and operation arrowhead all from steam. When launching dayz multiplayer from steam, it says it requires in red 1.62.103....(with other numbers depending on the server). What do i do?

Steam or retail ?

You're missing updates, either update through Steam or if retail go Here

 

Install update 1.60 and then 1.62

Do you use DayZ Commander ?

If it's showing the his version as red then he hasn't got an updated version of ArmA 2 OA :)

My money says he's retail as Steam will update automatically, unless he blocked or interrupted the download.

I downloaded all the games through a bundle on steam if that answers any of your questions? If I were to update it from steam, how would I do that?

You can update using DayZCommander.

 

In your case you need to update the Beta-Patch to the version running on the server.

The beta-patches can be found Here if you want to do it manually.

Most servers follow DZC for beta-patches and they're using 103718

 

Just download, run the .exe and you should be good to go :)
