Ratsmon 131 Posted November 24, 2013 Just another tip, sometimes peoples Arma version doesn't get updated, don't know if it's a DayZ Commander issue or not, but to fix that all you have to do is go to:- DayZ Commander- Settings and check the little box that says Replace original Arma2OA files with Beta so steam works, which should update the game versions to the newest. :)
applejaxc 2500 Posted November 24, 2013 DayZ Commander is one of the worst available programs. Ever. If you reaaaally really hate manual installation, I'd suggest playWithSix. Just open it, select ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead Beta (under the "games" tab), click the "Mods" tab (it's big and on the left side; hard to miss). Scroll through the mod list and find DayZ. After it's done downloading that, launch the game. The BEST way to do it Download DayZPut the @DayZ mod file in your ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead DirectoryGo into Steam and set your Operation Arrowhead Beta's launch parameters to include -mod=@DayZCreate a shortcut (it looks like a folder with a blue arrow at the bottom) in your ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead directory named addons that links to your Arma 2 directoryLaunch game, have fun. applejaxc 2500 Posted November 24, 2013 And why is DayZCommander so bad? It's clunky, slow, poorly documented, not as intuitive as other programs, crashes too much.
