Addon disabling

I just got arma 2 complete package and I want to play DayZ, however whenever I launch the game I can never join servers because all my other addons are on (Ex. British armed forces).  What addons do I need on to run Dayz and how do i disable the one ones I don't need?  I am launching from steam

As far as I know, none of the addons should interfere with playing the mod (BAF and PMC actually should boost some of the textures).  I don't really know how to help you but the others who can will probably ask 'what are you using to launch' (steam, play with six, dayzcommander) and some other questions, so you might want to add that info in to save a post.

While your waiting for a better answer you might want to verify the files on Steam (assuming your here because of the sale)

What error are you getting exactly?

 

Also what method are you using to install the arma beta patch?

The DLC's should not interfere with DayZ.

You will need to install both PMC and BAF to get full high res textures.

Get the beta patch 103718 and install

then goto steam and right click the properties on Arma 2 OA and then set this (code below after you make the correct directory change - DO NOT CHANGE THE MOD = you will break it) to the launch options =)
