Low FPS, High Ping, Tons of Desync

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I used to play a lot of DayZ. I tried to play recently and my FPS is under 10 usually. I believe this is because of abnormally high ping in the servers, causing lots of desync and stuttering.

I have tried a few things, making sure everything is up to date. Opening any ports that DayZ may use. Multiple servers. I have looked up trying to find solutions to it but the people who have had the issue haven't seem to find a solution.

I can't figure it out and have never run into this issue before. My internet is fine with everything else.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Kyle

What is your PC specs?

Are you choosing servers from your country?

Did you have decent frames and ping last time you were playing?

FPS and Ping have always been fine with Dayz before this.

Servers are west coast servers, same as me. Even in the lobby my ping is fine, it's only when i get into the game. Get a constant yellow/red chain and huge lag.

Phenom X6 1055t @3.8ghz with a Hyper212+

these are the reasons dayz can never be released stand alone.

Not only irreleveant to you, but also to the SA-discussion itself.

Have you tried different servers? As this sounds like a serverside-problem, where the server itself is causing the desync.

Also - to point this out - the ping does not affect your FPS.

Happens on multiple servers.

In most games it is true that ping doesn't effect FPS. But Arma 2 isn't like most games :) .

Even though you're right in saying that - it won't affect your FPS.

What about the fixes you tried, then? Are you sure there's nothing running in the background bottlenecking your performance and / or connectionspeed.
