What do you think they are working on in the SA that is keeping them hung up on releasing the alpha? Or is it they want to add more, like perhaps tents or vehicles?

I smell the graveyard, but I would agree.  Though I believe more likely the Greeks will try to arrest BIS for some bullshit reason.  They do update us more or less everyday, its minor information and pictures but still.

I would honestly say the only thing that's delaying the Alpha release at this point is the reason they gave us, Stability.  They've said in the past that they'll fix/add in things after the release.  It would not do them well if they lied about why they're not releasing, and honestly wouldn't make sense.

The big thing that's keeping the SA from coming out is the optimization, they don't want it to be a poorly optimized game like Arma 2 was. Once its optimized to their standards it will be released.

They have high standards because they have a huge respect for the fans waiting for the game. There are bugs such as floating loot and with lighting, and they are fixing these things as they go as well as adding new, awesome ideas into the game which will probably need fixing. This is no WarZ we are waiting for, this is a whole new, immersive original work of art.

Im not sure why people even expect a SA at this point. The mod hasnt even been out 2 years and im not sure exactly when they decided to make a SA but even 2 years isnt a long time to create a game.

 

Theres been a lot of huge games that had very high expectations that ended up being huge disappointements because they rushed a release date.

 

They could have easily pushed out a SA already and racked in huge money. The fact they havnt shows they are treating this game as their work of art rather than a money scheme so lets be thankful.
