Here is a list of my car ideas post yours below

- spark plugs

-wheels( not tyres) tht have a nut that you can lock so ppl can't steel your tyres

-air conditioning to keep you warm

- gear appears in boot

-siphon fuels

-different types off glass

-shoot out lights

-working rear view mirrors

-some vehicles need keys

-in abundance but red and have little fuel

- car battery's , rust over time

-shoot out of them

- spray paint

- radio in car

-find car stickers to use

-IED plant in car to ignition start up =boom

-need to refuel oil and eater

Wait a minute... air conditioning doesn't keep you warm.

I like car batteries, gear appearing in boot, shooting out tires, abundance but much stuffed, radio in car but just for listening (unless its a police car/ fire truck/ ambulance/ military), possibly oil changes as a simple repair, possible to drive (however limited) with popped/ destroyed/ no tires.

Some of my own input.

I wanna see some manual gearboxes that have been discussed in other threads.

Shooting from windows for passengers, if they wanna be terrible people they can shoot them out from inside (a possible quick solution for having a shattered windscreen would be shooting it out properly, maybe popping it out with your hands?) an option to duck down in any seat including drivers.

Seatbelts.

Sliding across back seats, climbing over the front seats from back into drivers seat and from front passenger aswell.

Let us have restrained people in the car.

Local seat space access so a guy in the back can't grab a pistol from the front glovebox and pull it on the driver, to expand using inventory from the back would be boot, using it from centre would be the back seat and using it from the front would be the front seats.

Realistic damage, no instadeath of tires when you hit a stump/ rock, maybe front bummer damage and if enough force full hull, engine and windscreen.

Hitting a person/ large animal like a cow causes them to go up over the bonnet and smash the windscreen removing what often seems like invincibility inside a vehicle.

No third person in cars (preferably for people too) I think if we just use first person we'd get used to it and be very happy, its immersive and IMO dayZ is a simulator that needs to feel immersive.

That's all I can think of for now.

There's probably some typos but tell me if any ideas stick out to any of you.

Good ideas in general but for some it might be too much. They just want to play and shoot others you know? Not check their car every 100km or take a shit 10 times a day because they only have beans to eat...

I like these ideas, but as Enforcer said, keep it simple.

 

Different kinds of glass may be too much.

I would like to see cars with special car weapons like a button you push and it puts oil on the road behind you making other cars skid. another one is you push a button and some spikes come out of the wheels for chopping zombie legs or players.

 

also put underground garages to hide the cars maybe put fake grass on the roof to hide them from helicopters

Making it vehicle specific parts might be ok so nobody tries to put a truck wheel onto a motorbike :lol:  ( f.e. type: bicycle, motorbike, car, pickup, truck, bus, tractor, armored vehicle, tank, helicopter, plane - ignore the last four it was just added to complete the example. )

That's sorta what I had in mind as well as tinted glass
