DayZ Standalone server signups ??

Greetings.

I've made this post to simply find out if there is a place to sign up to be a DayZ standalone server

provider as standalone will need server like the mod, once its released.

 

I've run the DayZ mod public server since June 2012 and would like to sign up and again agree to the

rules for a standalone server or servers.

 

Is there any info out there for us public server and private server admins to find out how to sign up.

Or will we be notified once the time comes.

There hasn't been anything announced yet. We don't even know if there will be "public hives" or "private hives.

I sure as hell don't for Private hives, might sound like a DayZ Hipster but I enjoyed when every server was kinda the same but without crosshair/thirdperson and that couple of stuff.

 

Then people started making these PVP servers where you spawned in with a rifle, NVGs and all you could imagine just to ruin the experience finding them yourself.

Well I did mean for public server admins and private server admins to sign up to be a DayZ Standalone public server provider.

Not to be a private server for the standalone. i.e public server provider as I am at the moment. :)

Both private and public have a place, It's nice to see variation :)

It would be better if when the SA is released you can filter public or private in the server list, everyone wins.

Well the same as DayZ mod when it first came out, it would be public servers only and servers hosts sign up to it as i did.

Then once SA is fully released as in the game and not alpha or beta then it would go private also.

But i realy don't think they would do private servers as this is a game and not a mod untill fully releast. just my opinion.

 

As said I just would like to find out if there is a place we can sign up to be SA server provides/admins like there was with the mod.

Maybe a Dev or so could answer ?.

I believe rocket stated some time back, that initially all servers are going to be dedicated and hosted by them, as they want to limit and control admin powers, abuse, etc.

 

In the future I presume they will release it to the public to host, but I believe for the time being, it won't be available to us common folk.

Didn't he also say that it was the public modding what made dayz to what it is now and without them host modding the mod it wouldn't be we're it is today, but saying that I believe it won't happen till the full release if the game that they will have a need for people hosting servers till dean and the team have finalised their vision of the dayz experience. But we will see when we get an release and what their next plan will be.
