Tactical Handsigns

Recommended Posts

I know it is much effort for an animator to do this, but i would LOVE to see some tactical Handsigns implemented in a way that the Player can use them easily and fast.

You may ask yourself "why would this be good?" I tell you:

It could save your and your teams life if you use them. Noone can hear these handsigns and some handsigns you dont even need to see. For instance if a Teammate taps on your Back, you know he is right behind you and you can move on. Best thing would be if the Tap on the Back could only be heard in 1m range (because you cant see this). Then the Frontman knows that the team is right behind him. This could save your life because you dont have the time to turn around and see if everyone is here.

Important Handsigns would be:

Stop

Listen

Move up

Crouch

You (or point here)

Enemy

Sniper

Zombie

Tap on the Back

I know DayZ is not a Military game and this is why i would not use the original Military Handsigns, but something similiar that everyone understands if he sees it.

The 'Follow Me' gesture is also universally used.

As well as using the 'A-Okay' gesture.

Both could be pretty useful in situations where you don't want to use voice chat.

i was thinking about this talking to my friends about teamspeak metagaming advantages vs. direct chat interactions..this could make occasional collaboration useful from tactical point of view..
