evster15 0 Posted September 28, 2013 Hello everybody. So in the past I have been global banned (and I know I don't have any evidence to prove my innocence) on my steam account and the question is very simple: If you get global banned is it an IP ban? so for example if I were to buy Arma II on a different steam account will it still be in effect because I would really like to not waste 25$ on another Arma II just to find out it is still banned. (Note: I have read plenty of forums to know that it is NOT dayz's fault and the people who DID ben me was Battleye.)
-Se7eN- 874 Posted September 28, 2013 Global bans simply ban your CD Key, your IP is fine.

IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted September 28, 2013 If you were global banned, hacks were either detected on your computer, or your CD key was stolen. Won't speculate on number 1 but number 2 if true was more than likely because of a key stealer being downloaded on your computer. We see people bitching all the time about buying 6 copies of Arma2 CO and still being banned because their new keys keep getting stolen. Run your AV software, look up tutorials to make double sure that you've removed it if you still have it.If you actually hacked well the 'polite' response you'd get here would be 'go die in a fire'.
