darkking74 7 Posted September 22, 2013 it saves it in that spot so if a server restarts it wont disperse but you will have to do it everytime
Cozza LIVE 5 Posted September 22, 2013 it saves it in that spot so if a server restarts it wont disperse but you will have to do it everytime Oh so thats what that does, Ill make sure to do that if I ever find a vehicle. Why does the servers restart anyway? So people can get more loot? Is there a set time before they restart?

Mos1ey 6301 Posted September 22, 2013 Server restarts remove all of the dead zombies, players and items that have been dropped by players on the map. They're necessary to stop a server from slowing down after a few hours of gameplay if there are a lot of people online. As for saving vehicles - they now save automatically, the feature is redundant. It used to be necessary to 'save' vehicles or tents to stop any changes made to them (map positions and gear stored) from being undone on server restarts.

Wasn't aware that was a vanilla change. That saves me a split second occasionally.

It used to be necessary to 'save' vehicles or tents to stop any changes made to them (map positions and gear stored) from being undone on server restarts. It was actually re-added in 1.7.7 though. It gives players peace of mind but more importantly, it writes the vehicles location, condition and contents to the server sql.
