EngineerZ 46 Posted September 17, 2013 Hey Guys, I have a problem. Someone found my camp... when I joined today, I found two Civilian Clothings in my tent and the two Ghillies were gone. They also took an M9 and my GPS. Best thing: They drank two of my Mountain Dews. What makes me wonder is that they didn't take anything else, not a single gun, none of the Antibiotics. So do you think I should just relax and stay there as they seemed to be in a friendly manner, or shall I move somewhere else as they could come and raid it all? It would be a lot of effort to move the 6 tents fully loaded with guns and gear. Also I love my camp and it hasn't been found for months. I hope for the curse of the mountain dew and those thieves will suffer a slow painfull death (ingame of course :D ). Tell me your opinion! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Hetstaine 10852 Posted September 17, 2013 They either have/had a lot of guns and AB's so do not need yours..or B are just generally nice and didn't want to rip all of your gear. I only take what i need at the time if i find a tent..like maybe some stanags if i am low or AB's if i have none, but, i will remember where that tent is and hit it again if i am in the area ;) They will be back. Also I don't know another good spot right now.I just put my best gear in my backpack and stuff to have a new start, so if I log on later and everything's gone, I can just run away and have a new start, but am still alive. JackONeill (DayZ) 15 Posted September 17, 2013 Thats too bad, I would do as your already doing, had a bad mountain dew experience a few days ago, drank it and within 25 minutes the pub i was looting was totally surrounded by Z's i could not get out, and I died from them clogging the stairs and both exits XD ran out of glock mags so i was hooped and that pretty much never happens to me . mercules 1290 Posted September 17, 2013 It happens and it sucks. 6 tents in one area was somewhat asking for it.For a lot of fun, grab what is really important to you then advertise the location of your camp to the server on a busy night. I use sandbags for stashes and keep limited supplies that I will want if I re-spawn. Otherwise just accept that any above ground stash will eventually be discovered and pillaged. C0okieH 156 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) I have some camps, probably around 8 spread across the map, I just have a decent amount of gear in each, that way if one camp gets raided you have another to fall back too. But I would personally just leave it, maybe set up some stashes and fill it with the stuff you need the MOST and value the most. It would be hard for them to steal it all unless they have a V3S, Ural or a vehicle that can hold a few guns. Edit: My group has 8 camps, I don't have them all. Bludy 324 Posted September 21, 2013 mmm thinking about what happened i've figured a couple of options..if they were a group or people with their own camp they just passed and they won't be back..they left your guns because they have a decent amount of gear themselves. but thinking about the fact that they took your ghillies, they could be a couple of players which haven't a base, and they'll be back. i behave the same way when i find a camp, just come back time to time to see what new loot i can find..never destroy it, never being too heavy on the owner's back. if you can figure at what time they came, you can predict at what time they play and try to camp and kill them, or call a friend to cover and approach them. i suspect that when one of them will be solo, he will easily make a loot run even alone, just to pass time..(as i made for a long time, while playing with a friend, having our own tent, and always playing at different time from owners' one..) camp is serious shit, so if you kill them they could come back to destroy your gear. try to talk to them..could be interesting.. EngineerZ 46 Posted September 24, 2013 Allright. I left everything how it was... I logged in today and - dafuq - everything was gone. Maybe them or someone else took nearly everything... All guns are gone, they even took the Hunting knife and all the tin cans. They only left one Miltiary Flashlight, the 3 Wire Fencing kits and the 3 Civilian Clothings...At least I put my favourite things and one tent into my backpack. I will have to start over, but next time I will only have one tent at one position and maybe better covered. It wasn't that well hidden... Maybe it was naive to think noone will ever come around there... Well, it also became a bit boring. I always did some cool loot runs and horded tons of snipers and gear in my tents, but never had any real action in my game. So I started new on some private hives and now I just gear up (maybe a Lee Enfield or an AK) and chill around the big towns, trying to see players. I had some nice meetings with a lot of friendly guys, but was also shot several times by some retarded kids... but this gameplay is much more fun than camping with all my high end gear, but being afraid of using and losing it... 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I also have a hidden camp in NW airfield we also see players but I have a group of 30 so we scatter and our sniper takes them out. I FEEL FOR YOU MAN. Your camp was definitely hanging around a dark alley, wearing provocative clothing. When I played public hive, I kept tents spread out on different servers. Never more than one in a spot on the same server. Sucks, bruh. At least they weren't jerks! I've had a few tents get found, and they were just picked clean. Sometimes people get cute and leave like...empty tin cans in there lol I agree with the others tho, they WILL be back. Maybe not today, but if they die they know exactly where to go for gear. Take your best rifle, as much ammo as you can carry, a couple bandages and meds and enough food/water to get somewhere you can farm loot and gather stuff to rebuild... woops, sorry, I just caught up to the end of the thread.
