Logan Winchester 1 Posted September 16, 2013 Hello everyone! Well... I've thinking about the items, it's so easy to loot everything in a construction and go away, and 5 min after loot everything again... What is the suggestion? ... Very simple, spawn items only 1 time per server-restart, but, why? Because the players don't want to go to the middle of the map, stays only in the coast, like Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk...So... It's guys, please leave me a comment...
dimitri3p0 99 Posted September 16, 2013 I've thought about this too, but you might have a whole bunch of people on a server for the first 5 minutes after restart and then a completely dead server for the next 3 hours or whatever...Or admins would just start restarting every half hour or something. But you might be on to something.
-Se7eN- 874 Posted September 16, 2013 The reason (at least from what i believe) loot re-spawns is to substitute the fact that there is very little places in a building that can spawn loot, where as in reality there are loads of places you could search, if they where to make look a one time spawn, it wouldn't be realistic in a sense of there would be allot less loot than in reality. I actually kind of like the fact that cherno/elek are over populated, simply because in the case of an outbreak they would be, and i would avoid them at all costs like i do in DayZ =) just my thoughts though, im sure there are other reasons as to why it cycles, just cant remember =)
Bludy 324 Posted September 16, 2013 if happens to you to go in a recently looted centre of town, like elektro we say, you won't find shit as it is now, especially on a populated server..recycling of loot is someway needed..and not all the servers restart every few hours

monoking 22 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) To be honest. Theres barely any loot now. Only one pile in few buildings or no loot at all in some buildings. The loot despawning has to be reworked.I'm sure the loot tables already been tweaked to make items more rarer. When i make a run through cherno i can barely find usefull items. As dimitri3p0 said, people would just hoard key places and switch servers. Does loot cycling even work now, I think it has been fixed some way around?
