Zeleno: Treasure trove of the intelligent

Alright ladies, let me tell you about Zelenogorsk. Although it may not have the most loot variety within itself, it's what you find on the journey that counts. Say you spawn in Kamenka, Komarovo, or Balota. You can get industrial, military, and medical loot in one run. Some may run to cherno, but the smart ones run north. Where you may ask? Zelenogork, of course! On the way up are bout 5-6 deerstands, 10-15 barns, and a supermarket in the town. Go up to Green mountain and you got several vehicle and military spawns. head up to Pustoshka and you got a supermarket and the absolute best fucking place to refuel, period. And if you have real balls, you'll go wing Vybor and NWAF. After that, you can go pretty much anywhere. That's my preferred loot run, and it should be yours too. What nare your thoughts?

Agreed, this is my typical new-spawn route - although from Zeleno / Green Mountain I typically swing east to Zub or north-east to Stary.  I avoid that clusterf&%$ NWAF unless I'm bored.

lone wolfing, i avoid NWAF, stary, and green mountain, so when i see kamenka it's 50% 50% cherno or deerstands+ zeleno...

 

not a bad loot run at all. 

 

the only issue of that supermarket is that even if you scout the area, when you'll actually reach the place there could be someone else basicly everywhere..it could be my approach route, but i feel too much exposed..obviously i don't care, also because when i hit that, at that point i'm happy if i already have a couple of cans and a weapon..

 

pushtoska also is good if you had bad luck at zeleno..

 

vybor well, i've been there a couple of times and i found only two alternatives: ghost town or like cherno but everyone is geared with heavy shit, i prefere having some friend if i go there (friends who always want to go to NWAF and die :-))

 

for sure i'm too much conservative, but i enjoy in surviving and throwing myself in tactical nightmares when you end at least running away from bullets it's not my way..it's different when you spawn, you don't care much, but if you are solo you need to loot a decend kit just to reach NWAF from the coast and finding a bigger rifle doesn't make such a difference.

Zelenogorsk is far to exposed for my liking. It takes to long time to infiltrate and extract, so chances are you will be caught between viral zeds in the streets and snipers in the surrounding woods. Additionally, supermarkets are not what they used to be, so any town with good cover and large houses is a safer target.

 

This is strictly from a lonely player perspective. A group can have support in the woods taking care of hostiles.

The deerstands, barns and zeleno was my old starting loot run when i wasent good and didnt know the game that well, now i ussualy hit up cherno or those areas because i know how t hide from snipers and i want to get kitted for survival as fast as possible. But out of the whole shore i much prefer to spawn in balota

Still, I think the whole Western strip is really unpopulated until you get up to Rogovo. From there up, when you're anywhere within 2km of NWAF, you're shure to find someone. But it's a really good run if you spawn Balota, Komarovo, Kamenka, and even Cherno.

What is funny is my buddy and I wandered through Zelenogorsk all geared up coming from the North but made note of how much we would have loved the location while gearing up, how the industrial and farm spawns in the West could net you a Hatchet/Crowbar for silently taking out Zombies as you worked your way through the town. Moving back East and into the town proper would let you hit the grocery store for sundries and maybe a backpack. From there it is from house to house for all the little spawns, barns Northeast then Northwest and out of town on toward Green Mountain is so inclined.

Kemanka to Zelenogorsk to Pustoshka to Vybor to the NWAF ; chances of seeing someone? pretty damn low. (for me) Players met at Kemanka: a fair amount but all fresh spawns - Players met at Zelenogorsk: none - Players met at Pustoshka: none - Players met at Vybor: only a few, but all were friendly - Players met at NWAF: you can figure that one out by yourself :)

That's the reason I still love getting Kemanka spawns :D

I don't know.  I've gotten in a lot of fights in the Zelen market.  I think it's safer than Cherno and Electro and snipers tend not to camp it.  But it's still a popular way station for people taking the NWAF route.  And a lot of them aren't new spawns from Kamenka either.

 

Getting in is easy.  You just run across a huge field once you're sure the town is empty.  Except you're so busy looting the market that by the time you see that UAZ coming over the hill, or hear some player agroing zombies out back, now your stuck there.
