Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

Decent built there. Should get 45+ on medium. I just got the same CPU today on the cheap and built a spare pc with a 7850 gpu and 4gb ram 1333mhz. I had mine at 1080p on very high settings with shadows set to normal and post process off. I was getting 45-50 on average and about 30-35 in cities.

Great to here! Thanks for the help!

I'd recommend a better motherboard, and a Radeon HD 7850 over the 650 ti. It's just weak compared to 7850, and it's about the same price right now.

On low settings I'd say ~30FPS, sinking to <20 in cities.

I think you'll be a bit bottle-necked by the 570 there but it should run smoothly on normal-high settings.

~30 in normal towns on medium to high settings, in the countryside etc you will more than likely be getting 40 - 50 with high settings.

The CPU is bottlenecking and bringing your whole system down. An Intel CPU with at least 3.0GHz or an AMD CPU with at least 3.2 - 3.4GHz would be ideal. With a better CPU you would get 40 - 50 on high.

ps. im really disliking the quote thing now, if i try to copy and paste the quote into another text box, it doesn't work >:(

MSI GE70 0ND-467XPL Laptop,

CPU: i5-3230M 2.6 GHz Turbo boost up to 3,2GHz

GPU: GTX660M
2x4 GB DDR3 Ram (8GB)

Resolution: 1600x900

Windows 7

5400 RPM Hard drive.

Would I be able to run this on low, but decent framerate? (Not a fan of fancy graphics) And since you're kinda experts here, would I be able to run all the new games without struggling? Like BF3, CS:GO, etc. on low?

Probably not. Unless you are a fan of having <20 FPS on low everything and the possibility of overheating and shutdowns from them.

And I would guess maybe ~<30 FPS for the other games on low.

Probably not, that graphics card is really, really, really low spec.

You'd probably just about run DayZ mod on low with borderline unplayable FPS in cities. CSGO and BF3 should be okay, CSGO especially. IMO 1.6 and CSS are still better though.
