Can I Run DayZ Mod? (POST HERE)

Recommended Posts

So I've yet again re-done my build - only real modification is the screen:-

Just wanted to question the techies out there to see if my desktop specs would be able to handle a 27" HD monitor at full resolution (1920x1080)?

I don't know how it all works really, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume more resolution = requirement for more processing power...

If not, I'll just revert it back to a 23.7" ASUS monitor.

Yeah, that'll run fine at 1920x1080. :)

is a sapphire Radeon HD 7730 compatable with a AMD FX 6300 black edition?

Compatible? Yes.

Good? No.

Hi guys...

I'm completely new to PC gaming (well I used to play cod2 back in the day on my laptop). I'm looking for a Pc that will play Dayz (standalone also) with relative ease. I was just after some advice on a rig that I was going to put together before I did.

Intel i5 4670 3.4ghz

ASUS Z87-A SLI XFIRE

8gb RAM

2gb GTX 760(is this better than a 660ti?)

1tb 7200rpm SATA 3 6gb memory

Then obviously extra cooling fans and a corsair 650w VS series

????

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

=)

Solid build there and yes the 760 is better than the 660ti.

My friend is gonna buy a desktop, I was wondering how fast it would run DayZ. Here are the specs:

Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB

  • CPU: AMD FX-Series FX-8320(3.50GHz)
  • RAM: 8gb DDR3
  • OS: Windows 8

The CPU is fine and so is the ram. I have the same CPU and I also have 8gb 1600mhz ram. But the 6670 wont get him high settings. I had the 6670 a year ago. Was able to run DayZ at about 40-50 fps on medium/low settings. It will do for not sure but if I where him I would be looking to get a better GPU in the next few months.

It that a PC or laptop. You can probably just about play at 30+ fps with low settings and at 720p maybe lower.

Medium 30+ frames I'd say.

(on an unrelated note you could probably get a 6300, 7850 build from DinoPC or some other place for about the same price...Edit: you can)

CPU is too slow, but you might get 10 - 30 FPS on low to normal settings.

It's a Desktop PC. Thanks very much, I didn't want to pay for DayZ to find it would run at a horrible frame rate!

Yes, although integrated graphics can be good enough, I don't think you'd be able to get enjoyment out of playing DayZ with the A4. If you can upgrade to an A8 or even an A10, that should do the job.
