AP_Norris 1018 Posted August 30, 2013 An Abrams tank can stop a lot of anti tank weapon let alone be completely invulnerable to small arms fire then ontop of that it has a 120mm cannon.You should see the covertly armoured trucks they have, they look like SUV's and even have bullet proof glass.Whenever I see that SUV sort of cars on the news I know it has to be armored up.Even the windscreen can stop a 40mm granade launcher though.They actually go through the whole truck strip it done to the bare frame and start reconstructing it with steel playing and little Kevlar trampoline things. Yes and you know that adding all that stuff can easily double the weight of such a vehicle? And to counter that they have to improve the engine power or else it will literally kill itself because it is no made for the task let alone tthe clutch. You also have to improve the suspension, brakes and add better ( reinforced runflat ) tires. These thing withstand roadside bombs. All parts that you can't just order via amazon in an apocalype. Finding scrap metal and maybe even a welder might be easier. You also need some training for such vehicles because even with the scale of a normal car it handles like a truck.There are those vehicles and the makeshift "armored" vehicles that are simple vehicles with improved bodywork. They are good enough to protect you from rioting zombies, light collisions and maybe pistols, shotguns and small caliber rifles but nothing to drive into a major shootout with big bore and assault rifles, just exactly what you might need in an apocalype to be mobile and slightly protected. You got my full support buddy.Those Origin monkeys have issues all over with copyright blah blah....I'm sure they'll figure out some way to sue someone over stealing or something like that...One reason why I don't like Origins are the rude modding communtity behind it. They don't want anyone else besides GamersPlatoon to have access to there server files. That alone will drag them down. Plus I have read somewhere that all they did was steal the mods from other people and label it as their own...(I'll have to find the article) Legal Issues aside I would love to see reinforcing on stock vehicles.
