DayZ Lag in Town Help! Bugging me so bad

Ok hey as you can you see from the title i lag in cities/towns when i am in the forest i get a good 50-60fps i got a gtx 660. My graohics are high i lag in towns, i put the graphics on meduim i still lag. so i get to the point where i put it on very low and something disabled and the game looks soooooo bad and i still get about 10-25 fps someone help me please

I'm pretty sure the mods can figure that out by themselves and actually do something about it and maybe even hand out tips for the OP.

 

Have you tried one of those famous guides? They actually give you a couple of nice hints what setting affect your FPS and what doesn't and is only for looks. But it will actually lag in cities sometimes anyway. It really depends on the server, as a good server really makes the difference in FPS.

It's not lag...it might be a crappy PC...what are your specs? A GTX660 isn't enough to tell.

Guides don't usually help since ArmA is very picky with hardware.
