delta5 237 Posted August 19, 2013 I'd blame the AMD CPU. I get 60+fps with all settings maxed and view distance maxed. I'm on 3570k, 8gigs of 1600Mhz ddr3, 2 GTX 660 SC

kichilron 8550 Posted August 19, 2013 Switch the server, try different locations - in the middle of Cherno doesn't help with the best computer. You wouldn't be the first time. And if you're on a crowded server (more than 10 people), that hasn't been restarted for a whil or isn't administrated properly in general you get that. Try joining a couple of different servers and mods and use this guide: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28160-guide-how-to-set-up-your-graphics-properly/
taco241 393 Posted August 19, 2013 I run a much cheaper machine and have never had any fps complaints.I rarely dip below 40 (and often around 80 in the fields) with a radeon HD 6850 plus i5 2500K, 4GB ram, all running stock clock, cheap ass motherboard.Have you tried different servers? Cobs 49 Posted August 21, 2013 This may be helpful info about FX processors and ArmA 2: http://forums.unitedoperations.net/index.php/topic/13152-amd-fx-cpus-and-arma-2/ Basically, if you're running a highly-intensive program on an FX processor and it does NOT utilize all your cores (ARMA 2 won't fully utilize anything above 4 cores), go to the BIOS and change the AMD ACTIVE CORE CONTROL to "1 Core per CU (Module)" and overclock as much as you can, and you will gain performance, even if you don't overclock. But if the program DOES utilize all of your cores, setting the CPU to only use 1 core per module will only decrease performance.
