How to fix "Bad Serial Number Given on setup"

what have you tried 

 

what versions of the game are you running if you are on steam 

 

do this 
 
close steam
start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator) 
right click on arma2 and properties then local files 
click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice 
 
and do the same for arma2 oa and any dlc you own 
 
run arma2 to the menu 
and do the same for arma2 oa and any dlc you own 
 
reinstall the beta patch and dayz

It's clearly overheating. He needs to restart.
