PAYING 10$ OVER PAY-PAL TO WHOEVER CAN FIX MY PROBLEM!

Recommended Posts

Been having this problem forever now and seeing that no one knows how to fix it, i thought i'd pay some cash considering this is the game i play the most...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Knr6Y7QhcN4    <----- This video explains everything needed to know

I've already tried installing it on a SSD and changing the in-game graphics doesn't affect the stuttering..

Are you running the most up-to-date commander beta patch and nothing higher?

also can you send a screen shot of your graphics settings?

be sure that your screen and 3d resolution match, also hrd high will cause alot of lag, dont think its the source of the problem but all it does is let you see the outlines of things better at night, ill forward this to the more graphics related people i know, as my graphics knowledge is pretty limited.

does your computer get hot? i have a stuttering issue that's somewhat similar and i got an external fan to fix the problem. to check your temperatures while running games you can download CPUID or a similar programme. if anything is going above 80c then that's probably the issue.

This is some pretty bad micro stuttering, better call it just stuttering.  Anyway, if you haven't done so already, update your drivers.  I've heard that micro stuttering usually happens with multi-gpu configurations (SLI, Crossfire, or a multi gpu card [ex. gtx 690]).  Driver updates and then a restart can help with that.  But I'm pretty sure you've heard enough about driver updates.  Have you fiddled with your gpu settings?  You could try a mild overclock on your gpu or cpu, or change your gpu settings in manage 3d settings (bunch of options).  You have good hardware, and something definitely isn't right, so don't give up (I play dayz on a laptop, somehow it is somewhat playable and this doesn't happen to me).

You could also try this: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2270829... It may not be applicable to you but it's worth giving a look.

(If this does solve your problem, I don't have a paypal, but some beans would really hit the spot)

This thread reminds me of a guy who messaged me on these forums a long time ago, offering to pay me to help him get unbanned by battleye.  I laughed in his virtual face.

Looks like something is interrogating your HD.

What Antivirus are you running ?

Firewall exceptions ?

Programs running in the background ?

DayZ only or vanilla ArmA2/CO also ?

Happens on all games ?

Ping Test .com = ?

You don't need Steam running to launch ArmA/Dayz !

Your machine should be able to handle anything you throw at it.

Two little programs for keeping a clean machine.

CrapCleaner & Malwarebytes.

Good luck.

You could most likely just find a video on how to do it on youtube.  I am not particularly familiar with overclocking since I play on a laptop (which of course has a locked cpu) so I am not able to do any effective overclocks (plan on getting a gaming pc later this year where i plan on overclocking).

Anyway, there is something you have to do to enable being able to do this, which I can't remember, which is why I suggest learning from a video.  After that though, it is simple.

1. In the nvidia control panel, just click on performance -> device settings.

2. Slightly slide up the three clock speeds (maybe up by 10 each).

Since this is not for the sake of extra performance, don't overclock too much, otherwise you could hurt your gpu.

EDIT:

Also, try defragging your hard drive and also do a disk cleanup.  Just search "Defrag" and "Disk Cleanup" in the windows search bar in the start menu and they should pop up.
