Please improve 9mm damage.

Doesent the PMC driver skin have a 9mm bullet resistant vest? I think that's why, because in normal Arma 2, the PMC skins (known as survivor skin for dayz nubs) can reduce the damage of 9mm.

 

I'm pretty sure it's the increased blood level in DayZ and the fact that 9mm damage was nerfed a bit in an ArmA 2 beta patch. When I first started playing DayZ you could kill someone with a Makorov with one mag.

Part of training, had to get shot by walter 9 I think it was. Bulletproof vest with front plate, no breakfast, still puked my guts out. Half stress half shock I guess, my chest still sore 10 days later. They say, being wounded hurts more but less shock... wouldn't know about that.

Point being, u get shot, u don't turn arround and unload your clip on your target easy does it. U twitch, u squeel and if ur lucky u get a couple of rounds down the general direction.

Perhaps sa should implement shock damage instead of tweaking existing weapon damage. This would add "realism," while keeping the game more playable then real life.

Miss those days.  Even going up against guys with pistols could be scary.

TBH I'd like to see the max. blood level dropped to about 8,000. I've always thought it was a little high in DayZ.

 

 

How many mL of blood does the average human have??   That should be the standard

I like the idea.  However I think that your ideas about how fast someone dies, is a little too fast(Unless this is realistic).

 

 

The reason I made the bleed out times a little quicker is that I believe that people should be forced to play as walking corpses for too long.  

 

If you get shot in the leg, bleeding out in 25 mins seems reasonable if not bandaged.   

 

 

 

But what I am talking about is if you get shot in the lower chest/guts.  

 

A bullet through your stomach, liver, kidneys, and/or intestines could cause irreversible damage.  This damage could kill you over time.  IRL it might take someone days to succumb to their wounds.  But who wants to be  bed ridden in a game for days?  That is why I believe certain wounds should kill you faster than reallife.  

 

 

 

I am no expert though, this is just my idea.

Yes, but realistically your not going to survive to the point you completely bleed out.

It should be to the point where there isn't enough blood to supply your brain properly.

I understand.  However sometimes it takes a while to get medical treatment in the mod and I figure it'll be the same in SA.  So maybe instead of dying to your wounds in a few minutes, maybe it could be a few hours.  That way you could have time for someone to patch you up.

I agree but some people would rather die than play as a cripple for hours

So if you lose 3L of blood you would probably die.

That's why I don't think we should stick with the blood system.

3L of blood lost death is realistic, but we shouldn't bleed as fast unless an artery is hit.

Bullet damage isn't gauged by bleeding, it is instant traumatic damage not how much blood you've lost, that's why chest shots are unrewarding currently when in reality a centre mass shot is what they go for.

Well, a 7.62 sniper to the guts would probably kill you, unless you were immediately treated by medical professionals in the proper environment (you would probably have a fighting change).

Yeah that's what I'm saying.

In a game where you can be knocked out and with word of advanced medicine... I don't want arcadey insta kills to non vitals.

Pistols and ak 74 too small damage now. But as the advanced body damage system and advanced medical treatment are added to dayz SA, it should be good.

I look forward to seeing how shock and pain are implemented.

In terms of injury, they're just as important to the victim's physical state as the amount of blood they have left.

That's what SA should be, shooting different parts of the body should have different results. Such as the extremely expensive program militaries use (however I cannot remember the name)

Yeah, but if your friends can stop the bleeding, you should be able to craft prosthetics.
