Can everyone do me a favour when the SA comes out?

Recommended Posts

I hope someone make a tutorial to military loots location so I can ruin people's fun with a high end gun faster <3

With the new global loot spawn system they could change the positions of loot spawns every few days if they wanted to.  Any guide published wouldn't be useful for very long.

Meh it's only an issue when people know things you shouldn't know like zombie spawn distances... so they know I'm in such in such place because they are 300m out and there are zombies spawned. That's being fixed anyways with the new servers.

I hope it's not completely random.  I mean it should make some sort of logical sense.  When I go to a supermarket, I would expect to find groceries and supplies and whatnot.  When I go to a military barracks, I'd expect to find military shit.

But randomizing the known loot spawns would go a long way to reducing some of the KOS.  Or at least get people more spread out so half the server doesn't descend on Balota airfield, then Cherno firehouse, then NWAF barracks south all trying to get at the assault rifles that spawn there.

Agreed.  My point is thought that they'll be able to change/tweak it whenever they want.  Remember also that the map overhaul is going to dramatically increase the amount of places loot can potentially spawn and they're adding more places of interest so that hopefully the playerbase will be slightly more spread out across the map.

If things go to plan there won't be any way for people to generate loot maps in the SA.  That'll be nice.  People will have to actually go and scavenge like the rest of us :).

We, the human-beings that create the community, will always find new ways to learn the new goodies, as how it has always been like with the rest of the communities on this world.

It is good to face a new game to feel the excitement of exploring new thingies, but after a while, people tend to learn the stuffs. Even though "the plan" would be to make people take their time to understand little of how the game mechanisms would work, people will always solve the riddles and get to know all the map, zombie behavior, loot system and such totally after a while..

It is not like there will be dozens of tutorials popped up when the alpha gets released.. But imo it should also not be expected for the peeps not to learn a game after playing it for some time..

I agree and I actually like player tuts, I might even make some of my own when the SA hits.  I don't consider loot tables tutorials though, it's like being allowed to peek under the hood of the game, I'd even consider using them an exploit although maybe a harmless one.

What I don't like is people unravelling the game to the point where they know the exact percentage chance of certain things and the exact amount of bullet damage for every gun etc.  I know it's unavoidable but the global loot tables will be a step towards forcing new players to have to figure at least certain things out themselves and keep things exciting for the more experienced players.

In a game where scavenging/looting is a key element, anything that can keep that part of the experience fresh for people for some time is a step in the right direction.
