Does DayZ works with ARMA X ?

Hello, i bought ARMA X Anniversary edition in a retail shop and I just can not  make it work with the DayZ mod.

Games were installed as they should be, latest updates with DayZ Commander, tried to turn off firewall, antivirus but nothing works

I have even written to the Bohemia Interactive studio ( creators of ARMA2 and DayZ) and they couldnt help me with it either.

Does anyone have ARMA X non steam version with working DayZ ? Pls let me know

Hi.  Have you tried using DayZ Commander yet?  It's a free bit of software that will install and keep DayZ updated for you.  You can use it to search for servers and join games too.

 

Download it from here:  http://www.dayzcommander.com/ and use it to install and update DayZ.  Let us know what happens and we'll try to get you up and running.

Yes I have Dayz Commander and latest updates, every time I try to join to server, it kickes me out and write this: You have been disconnected from the game

if you have retail you need to update the base games to the latest versions first 

 

run arma 2 and in the bottom corner you will see the version number this needs to be at 1.11

run arma 2 oa(non beta version)and in the bottom corner you will see the version number this needs to be at 1.62

 

please do this and get back with the versions number you have in the bottom corner

OK, i will try it. And how about Battleeye ?? Because after I am finished with the installation of the game, it automatically comes up.

I have ArmA X and had the same issue, the problem is Operation Arrowhead creates a new directory.

Uninstall everything and then install ArmA, after that when you install Operation Arrowhead change the install directory to the same as ArmA.

 

Check what i mean by looking and you will see you have 2 bohemia interactive folders.

I have installed ARMA 2 and battleye then run the game and version is 1.11.......

Thats the correct version, isnt it ? So now i will instal ARMA 2: OA and chcech the version

Once you have Operation Arrowhead installed you will need This Update

That update is for disk versions only, Steams users get theirs direct from Steam.

OK , i will install that patch. After OA finishes with installing it asks me to install Battleye again even when it is already installed form ARMA 2 installation. What should I do ? install ir again ? or skip it ?

If you have BE installed already that's fine.  When you first join a server it will (should) update to the latest version then.

 

If you want to be sure though there's no harm in clicking yes and installing it again to make sure.

batteye installs to different directories for both games just install it again

in the middle of installing the patch 1.62 jumps error: found defective file BAF/Addons/air_d_baf.pbo

But when i run ARMA2: OA and check version it already is 1.62

Hmmm, BAF is extra DLC for OA.  Amber will know what to do.  Hold tight.

Arma x edition includes: ARMA 2, OA, BAF, PMC. ARMA 2 is on one disc and on the second disk is the rest ( OA, BAF, PMC )

all the dlcs ( OA, BAF, PMC) are being installed in the same time so i think i can not install it separately

You don't get BAF & PMC installers, they are included on the Operation Arrowhead disc.

You only have to install the 2 discs, just make sure to change the default path when installing Operation Arrowhead.

Ok, before you install Commander and DayZ, first run Arma 2 once until you get to the main menu and then do the same with OA.

 

After you've run them both once they will join together to form "Combined Operations".  Once that's done you can use Commander to install DayZ.

 

You need to do that first in order to have the correct file structure for DayZ to use.  If you run DayZ without combining them it won't work.

You have to change it manually, honestly i had this same problem.

 

Does your Bohemia Interactive folder look like my image below, or do you have another Bohemia Interactive folder inside the Bohemia Interactive folder ?
