PK Richie 507 Posted August 3, 2013 I run both game before installing commander. And i have Bohemia Interactive folder inside the bohemia interactive folder but I was changing it manually so i guess i did it wrong. I will try i again nowThis was what i was trying to tell you :) your path is messed up cause your Operation Arrowhead now goes Program files > bohemia interactive > bohemia interactive > operation arrowhead. Uninstall everything again, then install ArmA 2 and then when you install Operation Arrowhead you get the choice where to install it, manually delete the part that has bohemia interactive. It will then install correctly and not make a 2nd bohemia interactive folder, after install it will look like my screen shot above. Then launch both games to install BattlEye and then install the 1.62 OA Update Then install Dayz Commander and install your mods and beta-patch. Job done :)
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 3, 2013 ^^^Thas super handy to know because I remember seeing someone else with the same issue a while ago, cheers.
PK Richie 507 Posted August 3, 2013 ^^^Thas super handy to know because I remember seeing someone else with the same issue a while ago, cheers.I went through it myself at the start, It makes you pull your hair out wondering why it won't work.Only does it from what i've seen with ArmA X versions, seperately is fine. kokodas 8 Posted August 3, 2013 ok, so now I am choosing where to install the OA + BAF + PMC and when I delete the path and leave the bar empty it wont let me contiue installing . So Which patch should I put in ? Programfiles/Bohemiainteractive or Program files/ Bohemia interactive/ Arma 2 ??
kokodas 8 Posted August 3, 2013 The original path was: Program Files/ bohemia interactive/ bohemia interactive/ Arma 2 . So if i get it i have to delete /bohemia interactive so the path would be like this: Program Files/ bohemia interactive/ Arma 2 ?
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 3, 2013 I'm not sure if you delete just one "bohemia interactive" or both :/What you have done above looks correct though so give it a go :)
PK Richie 507 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) The original path was: Program Files/ bohemia interactive/ bohemia interactive/ Arma 2 . So if i get it i have to delete /bohemia interactive so the path would be like this: Program Files/ bohemia interactive/ Arma 2 ?Yes, It sounds like you understand what i mean :)Just delete the /bohemia interactive, you can change the path so it goes to the same directory as ArmA 2 but it will still add the 2nd bohemia interactive by default, you delete that part and it won't add the extra directory.Does that make sense ? I'll try to reword it if it's confusing. Edited August 3, 2013 by PK Richie
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 3, 2013 So just to confirm he just need to remove one of the bohemia interactive lines from the installation path?
kokodas 8 Posted August 3, 2013 It makes sense. Now I have two folders like you Arma 2 and Arma 2 operation arrowhead. But when I join it still doesnt work. When i am installing patch 1.62 it doestn work because some error comes up but when i install that patch trouch DayZ commander, it works
kokodas 8 Posted August 3, 2013 I will now try it all over again. But i dont know if i should run arma 2 right after the installation end or install OA and then run both games together
PK Richie 507 Posted August 3, 2013 So just to confirm he just need to remove one of the bohemia interactive lines from the installation path?Yes, installing ArmA 2 will create the bohemia interactive directory, installing OA will also create one, that is how you get 2, manually editing when installing removes the 2nd I will now try it all over again. But i dont know if i should run arma 2 right after the installation end or install OA and then run both games togetherIt won't matter what order you run them, you have to launch at least once to install BattlEyeThen update OA using the link i sent you in an earlier reply. Check that Dayz Commander is locating the files correctly. IN DZC press 'settings' and the paths should look like my image below :
kokodas 8 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) ok i will check that once installation is done. But weird thing is when i start installing ARMA2: OA it asks me if I want to reinstall ARMA2:OA + BAF + PMC even if it is not installed..... weird Edited August 3, 2013 by kokodas
PK Richie 507 Posted August 3, 2013 It could be left over files from the previous installation ? when you uninstall them look in your program files folder and delete the behemia interactive folder if there is one left.Persevere with this and we will get there :) fingers crossed it happens soon, I have to pop out soon and need to eat and shower beforehand. Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 3, 2013 Don't worry, if you go out I'll be around on and off for a while yet. Now I understand the issue with the Arma X files I think he'll be sorted in no time.
kokodas 8 Posted August 3, 2013 i deleted bohemia interactive file before reinstall. It came up even when i was installing it the first time.I am starting to thing that there are some corrupted data on the disc with game. Because everytime when i install patch 1.62 therer is an error about BAF

Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 3, 2013 Hmmm, tbh it's unlikely but not impossibe. The BAF DLC isn't actually needed to play DayZ so if there's a way of choosing not to install it try that to rule it out. I think it's more likely that when you uninstalled though you left some data behind. I knoe its a pain in the ass but try uninstalling and make sure to manually remove any remaining files before trying again.
kokodas 8 Posted August 3, 2013 now i am reinstalling again but dont know what to do when i will be installing OA + BAF + PMC because if I leave the path which is there originally written and just delete this: /Bohemia Interactive - then there will be written this path: C:/ Program Files/ ArmA 2 but at the end of all installations in folder Bohemia interactive wont be ARMA 2 folder and ARMA 2 OA folder but instead there will be only ARMA 2 folder and another ARMA 2 folder outside the Bohemia interactive. Before that i had two folder with ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 OA both in bohemia interactive folder but it still didnt work so I am lost .....
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) When you install Arma 2 just let it install to the default place it suggests. Then when you install OA that's when you need to remove "bohemia interactive" from the path/ So the path to install Arma2 OA should read: C:Programme files\Bohemia interactive Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead And the intial path for Arma 2 should read: C:Programme files\Bohemia interactive\Arma2 That will place Arma2 an OA in the same Bohemia Interactive folder. kokodas 8 Posted August 3, 2013 I have got Arma 2 and OA installed just like PK Richie has in his screens. But it still doesnt work. During installation of patch 1.62 the pop ups two errors about two corrupted files: air_d_baf.pbo and dubbingradio_pmc.pbothe first one can be found: Program files/Bohemia Interactive/ ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead/ BAF/Addons/ right on the topthe second one can be found also in Arma2 Operation Arrowhead/PMC/Addons/ somewhere in the middleDo you think it would be possible from you to send me those two files and i will try to replace them. Thanks
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted August 3, 2013 (edited) Cool, in that case you might be right and they may just be corrupted. You'll have to wait for PK to come back because I don't have those DLC's installed atm. Amber may have them though, I'll give him a shout.
