ARMA II and OPERATION ARROWHEAD ONE ON STEAM OTHER NOT

Hi guys I need help,

 

I have a disc copy of ARMA II on my pc now you can't register a disc copy of the game on steam but I can get operation Arrowhead off steam which as you know is needed for the game. Now I am wondering if I have ARMA II not on steam but have operation arrowhead on steam can I play DayZ I really need an answer guys.

You can't use the Steam version of the DayZ mod.

But you shouldn't use that in any circumstances anyway.

 

All you need is DayZ Commander, and it should set up the proper file-paths for our games.

ok so let me get this, If I download the DayZ commander it should do the work as far as finding the two games? also where in your opinion is the best place to get DayZ from?

Best way to patch Arma 2 is get 1.05, then 1.11 patches

Arma2OA needs to be patched 1.62 if its not.

Then you need the armaoa beta patch =)

Get these from arma website or armaholic.

1) Make sure you install the latest patch for the retail version from http://www.arma2.com...ly/game-updates Then follow the STEAM/RETAIL INSTALLATION guide.

It'll work just fine :) make sure you update both games and launch them at least once.

Then install Dayz Commander, once installed you can manully set the games paths, your disk version of ArmA2 will be the same as mine below and your Steam version of OA will be in Steam>common files etc

 

In DZC you can manually set the paths in the 'settings' options like below :
