Question about DayZ Official Client

So I've read on forums somewhere on the Internet that, DayZ Staff is going to release Their Official Client.

(You will not have to buy and download Arma to play it etc.) Like on WarZ.

Is that true ?
Just asking becouse I'm kinda exhausted of Hight FPS playing DayZ and I'm hopin' that someone is about to fix it.

Pretty sure you've heard partially true information.

DayZ will become its own game, on a new engine.

 

It will be sold on Steam, and will use VAC as anti-cheat.

The DayZ "Standalone" is going to be its own game, with an improved engine and everything. Hopefully better FPS, and no ArmA 2/OA requirement.

Are those requrements going to be lower or higher?

I'm just asking cause, I got everything needed to play Arma 2 without any freezes, but i still get them playing DayZ and its annoying.

The second question is : Is there any option that I will be able to replace my present Arma 2 PACK which I've bought this week for DayZ on Steam?
