Useless But Rare Weapons

I still want a super soaker added to dayz.  Blurrys someones vision with a headshot and makes them grunt from being annoyed.  Maybe if its cold out they could get colder from the water, possibly causing a infection.

And the PPsh 41 as you are in Russia, but still extremely rare, usually found in residentails or maybe museums.

A lot of the weapons I think that should be available should be old handed down war relics or civilian weaponry, shotguns & hunting rifles.

In military area more modern weapons show like AKMs, AK 74, MP443, Makarov.

As for useless weapons... Dean has stated since all items are getting their own stats... That all items can be used as melee weapons with their own damage amounts.

For specifically useless weapons... maybe single shot high velocity spring powered air rifle, I have one, it might actually be half decent in a zombie apocalypse (its pretty quiet, shoots fast velocity and I can hold about 1500 rounds in one of my pockets.) the reason it's bad is once you fire you've gotta cock the lever with 16kg force load a tiny .177 lead pellet into a tiny chamber and then fire.

Maybe battery powered automatic BB guns, useless for killing zombies because of no lethal damage but they can really be a pain for a player at close range. Painful on bare skin IDK what sort of effect it should have on a player/ zombie?

What would you want to kill with a high powered pellet gun? You could shoot their eyes out...maybe from 100m. Guys from an airgun have proven that even the best pellet suited for long range shooting is practially useless beyond that range because the aerodynamics of the bullet draws a lot of speed from the bullet. It's quit useful for hunting small game if it's powerful enough...not those 7,5J guns we are allowed to buy over here that are already useless up to 10m lol.

Don't know if the last one is simply trolling but if someone was pointing a bb at someone and started shooting they would most likely laugh and pull the trigger... How do you want to use the gun anyway...gas or batteries? Propane might not be a problem but an electric gun needs batteries and how will you charge them without electricity? And in a country where you are happy to be able to afford a gun for hunting everything that we take for granted is pure luxury.

The strongest bb guns would be able to hurt you but it's more like a sting than anything else and the bbs would never penetrate the skin. It can only be dangerous if the target doesn't wear eye protection. Of course you have to get into range first if you really are insane enough to fire an aeg at a person armed with a real weapon :lol:

I think what AP_Norris is talking about privately owned weapons. In fact, he never mentioned Museums. Museum guns are almost always inert, and they have no ammo, like you said. However, a private owner of any gun could easily maintain an old weapon and keep it in working condition. Theoretically, a gun could last for hundreds of years as long as it was maintained and not constantly in use. I've shot a ppsh, mosin nagant, various ww2 era pistols, ect. They're often times kept by veterans of those wars and passed on into their families. So those guns do still exist out there in the market. They should be kind of rare, but I would love to see them. I would totally keep a luger if I found one.
