Melee Weapon Quick Switch Help/Advice

The Primary Weapon is supposed to be on your back and therefore not hidden.

 

I think his point is that you can't actually see it on the model, so when you change weapon it does just appear out of nowhere.

Well, it should be on the model. But be honest! You'd tap it anyway. Twice. ^^

There is no way to use existing reload animations (which work while moving) and basically force a reload when switching weapons is there? The weapon would switch instantly but then force a reload so you would still need to wait before you could use it, that's probably the closest you could get.

 

This please..

Animation Version please, this is supposed to be "realistic"

 

But having to stop is so annoying and not realistic at all.

 

I would go for 2 but with a delay, but if I may ask R4Z0R, why is not possible to have animation to run while running? (joke intended xD)

I don't think they have anyone available to make new animations so they are limited to the existing arma animations, remember it's just a small team of community volunteers working on the mod in their spare time.

1st one is better, but why it cant be like the ACE mod two weapons system, like going into the gear and and instant change there...

You can.

 

Action menu and number keys will have animation. Opening gear menu and hitting the swap button has no animation.

Hmmm well, you can reload whilst running, I don't see why you cannot implement swapping weapons whilst running with an animation? If there are valid reasons as to why not then please, enlighten me.

Surely just use the reload weapon animation that enables you to continue running?

It's already done, they went with the first option with the animation. The instant swap isn't right for DayZ IMO.
