DayZ Commander updating DayZ and Origins Help!?

Recommended Posts

Hey so DayZ is out of date and Origins is corrupt so I tried updating DayZ and I got this:

System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. ---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketE

and then a bunch of other stuff blablablalba

I get the same exact thing when I try to "repair" the corrupt DayZ origins. Anyone know what I need to do? Thanks

as with all c# debug messages it can mean a lot of different things so its a trail and error approach to try and fix

it means that the connectiong to the remote server was closed before it could request the data

so it could be that the cdn ip has changed but the dns hasn't updated

two ways of fixing that is

open command prompt and type in

ipconfig /flushdns

change your dns servers to use opendns 208.67.222.222/208.67.220.220 or google's dns 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 (see here for help)

something is blocking the connection ie firewall/antivirus sometimes even your isp

one of the config files for commander is screwed try deleting the config files from the appdata folder

The reason why i am here is the same, but as i was messing around with some of the suggestions that where given in the reply's, i decided to click on dayzcommander's settings, there was an option in there to max connection, i turned it all the way up to performance and then i relaunched commander and clicked on my download again and it was fixed. It may have been completely by chance but right after i did that my problem was fixed
