Low FPS on a High End computer

Recommended Posts

I get 10FPS average in Cherno and 11FPS average in the wilderness. On SinglePlayer In ArmA II, ArmA II: OA and Multiplayer for DayZ my FPS count is the same.

Also I get white lines under my feet sometimes, white zombie heads sometimes, Box textures sometimes, slow loading textures/blank textures sometimes and my internet connection mustn't be the problem if I lag the same in single player.

My system is very new (3 days old) and should be performing at around 40 FPS in Cherno :(

It outperforms the GTX 660TI by a few percent.

The person in this video (

) gets very good FPS in DayZ while I don't with a better GPU , same CPU and a bit less quality RAM. Edited by MisterMyster

With that system you should not disable certain options, you are putting all the work on your CPU while the GPU does nothing.

Contrary to popular belief, the GPU also does a lot of work on ArmA 2 even with settings like the OP's.

Issues like these still baffle me; I've really never found a solution but someone else might have one.

What settings should I set my options as? I've mingled around with the options and I still get terrible FPS and white grounds, textures etc.

I too get issues like this, a couple of months back i could run the game fine with no frame drop at all, however recently (And since i updated my graphics drivers) i have noticed a significant drop in performance :/

I connected my cable back to the GPU instead of the motherboard (I connected it to the mptherboard because the GPU was giving bad artifacts) and now it's getting 50+ FPS in Cherno with max everything but the view. Any ideas on how to fix the artifacts? I changed the HMDI for a VGA and it still gets artifacts >.<

Try setting Video Memory to Very High.

Yes, I know that goes against all common sense, but my 7870 behaved really oddly with regards to VRAM allocation for Arma2..

I took out my GPU and put it back in and relocated my RAM and then my artifacts went down but were still there so I messed around with some random catalyst display options and it fixed itself so problem solved thanks

its always possible your windows 7 is downgrading your pci express slot for power, set your power plan to high performance then disable and re enable the graphic card to reset it's values, then run MSI after burner with MSI kombustor and get a reading on your pc (MSI is the easiest one i know of) all other are a bit, techie
